This ornate domed wood box dates to circa 1860–1880 and is made with Hungarian ash wood veneer, brass, and painted porcelain. Engraved “Trussel Brighton,” indicating Henry Trussel as the maker, the box features brass and painted ceramic cherub details, a blue silk moiré lining, black velvet bag lining, and velvet on the base to help protect surfaces. It also includes its original working key.
