This five-volume Jane Austen set, published in London by J.M. Dent & Sons Ltd. in 1933-1934, is custom bound in 1/3 blue leather by C.E. Lauriat Co.. The set includes Persuasion, Mansfield Park, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, and a collected volume containing Sanditon, The Watsons, Lady Susan, and other miscellanea. Pride and Prejudice and Northanger Abbey are not present, rendering the set incomplete. Each volume is illustrated by Maximilien Vox, featuring color frontispieces, full-page color plates with captions, and chapter-opening illustrations. The bindings are executed with textured blue cloth boards, raised bands, gilt detailing, and red leather title blocks, complemented by marbled endpapers, hand-cut pages, and gold gilt top page edges.

There is light wear to the leather at the corners, hinges, spines, headbands, and tailbands, along with sun fading to the spines. Two small areas of loose leather are present: one at the top left of the headband on Sense and Sensibility and one at the lower right of the tailband on Mansfield Park. Numerous pages remain uncut.
